Sound Deadener
Nilrust Sound Deadener is a fibre reinforced bitumen based product applied in a thick coating to the under body of your vehicle.
This serves to reduce road noise caused by tyre to road contact and stones, gravel, sand and water being thrown against the floor pan and wheel wells.

Description: Nilrust Sound Deadener is a fibre reinforced bitumen based product designed to reduce and absorb sound transmission through the vehicle’s bodywork, and also to give protection and noise reduction from stones, etc that fling up from the vehicle’s tyres.
Nilrust Sound Deadener is fully compatible when used over Nilrust Bottomside.
- Typical Properties: Black liquid, product as supplied is flammable.
- Specific Gravity: 1.11+/-0.01
- Volatiles: 52+/- 1%
- Flash Point: -30 oC
- Solvent: Insoluble in water
- Colour: Black Liquid
Application: The product is best when sprayed on, to give a thick, uniform protective coating.
Drying time: Flow ceases within 30 minutes under normal conditions, but full drying time will take several days, depending on thickness of film and drying conditions.
Clean up: Mineral turps or white spirits are suitable solvents to clean up overspray and drips.
Safety: Refer to Material Safety Data Sheet for detailed information. Always ensure the product is used with flash-proof equipment, and personal protection, consisting of adequate ventilation, ensuring eye and skin protection is observed at all times.
